LOCALS NIGHT feat. ROEM BAUR (2 SHOWS!) @ Blue Note | Roem Baur is a multiple award-winning touring songwriter and San Francisco resident. He has been featured on the main stage at Super Bowl City, NBC's The Voice, and at CES & SXSW conferences. A classically trained opera singer, he answered the call of rock n' roll shortly after college and began touring living rooms, cafes, and small clubs with "a voice that seems to burn with fire" (Examiner) before forming his band and releasing his first studio EP with GRAMMY nominated producer, Damien Lewis (Rihanna, Capital Cities, Kimbra).

After winning Bob Weir's (The Grateful Dead) national "Road to TRI" contest, Baur and his band were invited to record a live EP in Weir's personal studio, the product of which can be found on Roem's YouTube page and has since propelled him to a whole new era of rock fans. In June of 2016 he released his most personal work, "Night Phases," that has been praised by music bloggers and critics as one of the best releases of the Summer.

Aaron Lewis @ Uptown Theatre Napa | After releasing seven studio albums between 1996 and 2011 with his rock band Staind, singer, songwriter and guitarist Aaron Lewis went solo - and he went country. His first country album, The Road, hit stores in 2012 and was embraced by fans, reaching No. 7 on the country album charts. With Staind on hiatus, he made his debut on the stage of Nashville's famous Grand Ole Opry in 2013, a year that also saw him headline the Jagermeister Country Tour. Even when Staind was active, Lewis toured clubs extensively with his acoustic guitar, mixing in Staind material with his newer country-leaning songs. The country material - such as his hit "Country Boy" - dominated his setlists in 2013, but fans who bought tickets did see Lewis play some Staind favorites as well, including "So Far Away," "It's Been Awhile," and "Outside."

420 One Night Event *J Ras*IrieFuse*Skunk Funk*Full Chizel* @ OPERA HOUSE BALLROOM | J Ras is living proof of the old hard work pays off saying." After numerous festival performances this past summer, J Ras was eventually invited to perform as a guest on stage with one of his biggest inspirations, Michael Franti & Spearhead. With multiple nation wide tours under his belt and collaborations with world renowned artists like Scarub of Living Legends and Prezident Brown, J Ras is ready to take the world by storm. As a family man who often shares the stage with his kids, it is important for him to pass on a positive message through his music and live performances.

IrieFuse is a San Francisco Bay Area based reggae band that has been fortunate to bring their energetic and unique performance to some of the largest and most respected reggae festivals such as California Roots in 2014 and the legendary Reggae on the River in 2015. Since then the band has been working hard playing many other festivals and club dates up and down the West Coast.

Skunk Funk sprung from the streets of Vallejo, California in 2009 to bring every crowd an inspiring animated experience. Skunk funk is eclectic, funky and pure IRIE. A spellbinding fusion of Hip-Hop, Punk, Reggae, and Ska, this multi genre and multi-talented band has what it takes to fill a room with amazing vibes and a wonderful crowd.

Jonathan Wright (guitar/vocals), Jeffrey Iverson (percussion), and Frank Hernandez (viola) comprise the acoustic mayhem that is Napa Valley's own FULL CHIZEL! Whether it's a crafty take on a 70's or 80's tune, or a selection from their striking set of originals, these bad boys serve up a boilermaker of energetic acoustic grooves; with a shot of whiskey soul in a pint of frothy folk-funk!

Ca' Momi Osteria hosts: La Mixta Criolla | A music and dance ensemble inspired in the rich and diverse musical culture of Puerto Rico and the greater Caribbean. The group's repertoire of originals and funky renditions of traditional tunes, features a variety of swinging Caribbean grooves, from plena, bomba, guaracha jibara, seis and aguinaldo, to merengue, son, rumba, cumbia and salsa. And the band is as comfortable, and passionate, playing a bolero, a slow seis con decimas, or a classic danza.

La Mixta's sound is based on the mix of "cueros, cuerdas y voces" - skins, strings, and vocals - with Hector Lugo on bongo, panderos, barriles, vocals, and percusion menor; Javier Navarrette on congas, cajon, percusion menor, and vocals; Sandra Garcia Rivera on vocals and guicharo; Camilo Landau on Puerto Rican cuatro (a ten string guitar descendant of North African instruments that came to the Caribbean via Spain) and vocals; and Ayla Davila on bass and vocals. The group's debut CD AfroTaino also features Jacky Rago on Venezuelan cuatro (a four string guitar of similar ancestry as its boricua cousin); Miguel Luciano, Ronald Rosario, and Yaya Maldonado on lead vocals; Enrique Quique Davila on accordion and vocals; Carlos Caro on guira, Julio Perez on tambora dominicana, Enrique Hernandez on the saxos, Ali Choco Luna on requinto, Yuseff Pili Martinez on tres dos, and Chris Flaco Walker on tumba.

Some of La Mixta's performances feature traditional Bomba dancing, a centuries old form of Afro-Puerto Rican music and dance characterized by structured improvisation and the intricate dialogue established between the bailador(a), the dancer, and the primo or lead drummer. The group's principal dancers and choreographers are Shefali Shah and Christina Navarro, with the collaboration Jo-Annie Seda, Ali Luna, and Jahman Lee.

Melvin Seals & JGB @ Uptown Theatre Napa |

Melvin Seals has been a powerful presence in the music industry for over 30 years with a long-established reputation as a performer, recording artist and producer. Melvin is most revered for his powerful, high-spirited, Hammond B-3 organ, and keyboards in the Jerry Garcia Band. Melvin spun his B-3 magic with the Jerry Garcia Band for 18 years and in doing so helped pioneer and define what has now become "Jam Band Music". From blues to funk to rock to jazz, Melvin Seals serves up a tasty mix with a little R&B and gospel thrown in to spice things up.

Melvin and JGB brings an intuitive, expressive style, soul, spontaneity and remarkable chops to the table. With acoustic and electric ingredients and unique combinations of Dave Hebert's guitar and vocals, Pete Lavezzoli's hearty drums and, of course, a heapin' helpin' of the wizard's magic on Hammond B-3 Organ and keyboards. Along with backing vocals, the result is a most satisfying blend of natural organic grooves that challenges genre boundaries. Their chemistry is the focus from which they create a spontaneous and high art where the sky is the limit musically. They offer an exciting, often psychedelic musical journey that changes nightly and keeps the audience dancing and smiling (and some staring in amazement) for hours.

In addition to the often played staples, the band has recently been exploring the back catalog and performing a ton of super rare tunes, some of which The Jerry Garcia Band played only a few times over all those years.

Adding his rock-gospel-soul-rhythm and blues touch with his funky style of playing, no wonder Jerry nicknamed him "Master of the Universe". Melvin continues to treat music lovers to his unique brand of melodic flavor with JGB. Come see and hear for yourself!

Walter Hand + the Blue Hand Band @ Downtown Joe's Brewery | Walter Hand and the Blue Hand Band is back for another night of jamming out with their very own blend of unique blues music!

Walter Hand began his love for music at the age of ten when he won the elementary school talent show impersonating Jerry Lee Lewis with Great Balls of Fire. He bought his first Hohner harmonica at thirteen, and around the same time played saxophone with the school band. In school Walter learned the technical fundamentals of music theory, but at home with his harmonica is where he learned to express himself and really feel the music. In 1970, after two years in the army, Walter joined the choir at Contra Costa College, while taking voice training and singing with a barbershop quartet. Still playing his sax, Walter hooked up with good friend John Doukas, lead singer for the rock group Earthquake.
